It was during a sneaky day off from her animation degree course at London College of Communications to attend an open day at the Cordon Bleu back in 2012, when Georgia made the spontaneous decision to quit university and immerse herself in a baking career. With her family’s encouragement, Georgia enrolled on the London Cordon Bleu patisserie course before launching her own business Georgia’s Cakes in December 2014.
It was a decision which quickly paid off. Well connected and charismatic, Georgia caught the eye of some of London’s influencers within the fashion and luxury lifestyle scene, and was ecstatic when DKNY approached her to create a cake based on a jacket from Cara Delevingne’s new range for the global brand. The supermodel was delighted, and images of Georgia presenting the cake to a delighted Cara lead to global exposure.
A partnership with luxury company VeryFirstTo followed, when Founder Marcel Knobil contacted Georgia to request she created the world's most expensive gingerbread house priced at £49,750.
With her sights firmly set on establishing herself as Britain’s leading lady of baking, Georgia Green is building an empire, one decadent cup-cake at a time.
